After a moving minute of silence in memory of Antonio Jesús Piñera, a loyal participant in the competition, the judging of the XXXVIII Poster Competition began last Friday in the Board Room of the Holy Week Museum, where members of the brotherhoods and residents of Cieza viewed the winning entries.
The photograph "The gaze", taken by Javier Morote Martínez, was ultimately chosen in the XXXVIII edition to be used as the official poster for Cieza's 2026 Holy Week and as the cover image for the magazine "El Anda". Second prize went to photographer Pedro Moreno Egea for his photograph "Silence", which will illustrate the poster for the opening events. Finally, third prize was awarded to Antonio Ortiz Giménez for his work "The Mystery of the Cross", which will grace the cover of the Events Guide.
