Alfonso de la Cruz López Sánchez is a pro-Caravaqueño who is well known and loved throughout the Region of Murcia for his long and successful professional career, which now exceeds three decades. So much so that it is not easy to summarize his resume, full of awards and recognition for his work in the written press, radio and television.

He started at Telecaravaca and later was Head of Sports for Antena 3 Radio in the Region of Murcia and in Seville, Head of Sports for Diario 16 Murcia, Editor-Announcer on Onda Regional, Head of Press and External Relations for the Football Federation of the Region of Murcia and Communication Advisor at the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Regional Government. In 2006 he joined the Autonomous Television 7 Region of Murcia, where he has been Program Delegate, Broadcast Manager, Presenter of the programs "Con el día por delante", "La terrace de verano", "De la tierra al mar" and "Pilgrims" and Director of Special Events. His is that unmistakable voice that tells us about the great events that take place throughout the year in our autonomous region, which are multiple and varied. Alfonso de la Cruz already exceeds three hundred broadcasts on our regional television, of which more than a hundred are Holy Week processions.

But it is also that we are facing a great partygoer, since in his native Caravaca Alfonso de la Cruz has been a Kabileño of Abul Khatar and Ceyt Abuceyt, Rey Moro, horseman of the Peña Mayrena, Press and External Relations Member of the Bando de los Caballos del Vino, founding member of the Compañía de Armaos, First Deputy Mayor for Celebrations and Tourism, Member of Communication of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of the Santísima y Vera Cruz and for more than three decades has belonged to the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ de los Voluntarios, head of the Procession of Silence on Maundy Thursday in Caravaqueño.

He has proclaimed the Patron Saint Festivities and Holy Week in Caravaca; the Pilgrimage of the Virgen de la Esperanza, in Calasparra; the Cultural Week of La Arboleja, the Murcia Spring Festival in 2015 and the Murcia Moors and Christians Festival in 2017.

And in the chapter of distinctions, to name just a few, we can highlight the Prize for Murcian Sports Journalism; the Award of the International Week of the Garden and the Sea, in Los Alcázares; the Parra de Oro, in San Pedro del Pinatar; the Gold Bean from Casa Menéndez, in Águilas; the Golden Mask of the Carnival Peñas Federation, also in Águilas; the Diploma of Honor from the Federation of Centers for the Elderly of Murcia; the Ramaleras de Oro and the title of “Moor of the Year”, in Caravaca; and his appointment as an Honorary Member of the National Union of Moors and Christians Festive Entities.
