Begoña Ortega Cano was born in Cieza on July 12, 1989. She studied at the Juan Ramón Jiménez School and later completed her Humanities Baccalaureate at the Diego Tortosa High School. She lived in Cieza until 2010, when she moved to Madrid to study Journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid.
A journalist with extensive experience in news broadcasting at RTVE (Spanish National Television), she was an editor and news anchor for the Aragón region from 2020 to 2025. In May of that same year, after passing the RTVE competitive exams, she secured a position at the regional center in Murcia, where she currently works as a reporter and anchor.
