The Board of Passionate Brotherhoods of Cieza deeply regrets the passing of José Sánchez Ramos, president of the Brotherhood of "Santa María Magdalena" and the Brotherhood of the "Santísimo Cristo Yacente" and "Santísima Virgen del Dolor" in 1990.
A devoted follower of our Holy Week traditions, he took the reins of the Brotherhood of "Santa María Magdalena" during the commemorative events for the 50th anniversary of its founding. During his tenure, the first edition of our town's oldest sporting event, the Half Marathon 'City of Cieza', was held.
"May the Brotherhood remain united and continue to progress, for there is still much to be done, and this must be done well, with both successes and failures, but above all with the affection and dedication we all have for our beloved Saint Mary Magdalene, for the good of the Brotherhood and our Holy Week".
