Last Friday, in the Basilica of "Nuestra Señora de la Asunción", at 7:00 p.m.,
the solemn triduum began that the brothers of the Brotherhood of "Santa María
Magdalena" have been celebrating for years. The same event took place again on
March 9 and 10, ending the latter with the kissing of the Image of the "Santísimo Cristo de la Sangre". During the ceremony officiated by the Councilor of the "Junta Permanente de Procesiones", Mr. José Antonio García López, the imposition of
medallions on the new brothers of the Brotherhood was carried out, with the
Lord of Holy Monday being in charge of presiding over the main altar of the
temple.
At the end of the traditional kissing, the sisters of the Brotherhood carried the Christ on their shoulders and, marking the step, carried it to their chapel, where it was once again placed on its altarpiece awaiting next Monday, March 25.
