Processional music will resonate through the aisles of the Basilica of "Nuestra Señora de la Asunción" next Saturday, March 7th, at 8:30 p.m.

The repertoire chosen for this occasion will journey between tradition and modernity, from the most classical sounds to the latest additions to the vast musical heritage of Holy Week in Spain; all while keeping in mind the local repertoire. A significant part of the program will be dedicated to a key figure in our music: José Gómez Villa, who will be honored on the 25th anniversary of his death. The Unión Musical will perform several of his most significant marches and pasodobles, as well as another piece less familiar to the people of Cieza.

Furthermore, during the evening, which will be presented by the renowned journalist from Cieza, Alejo J. Lucas, a new march will premiere, becoming part of the musical repertoire of the host brotherhood. Composed by Antonio Camacho García, a member of the Musical Union and a member of the brotherhood, the march "¿A quién buscáis?" will be performed on March 7th. It aims to evoke the climactic moment of the Arrest of Jesus.

Tickets, with a €5 donation, can be purchased from any member of the band, as well as from members of the brotherhood's board of directors.
