Pablo Espinosa, a young sculptor from the neighboring town of Mula, has been selected by the Royal Brotherhood of "Jesús -Nazareno-" to create the poster for "The Arrest" for the 2027 Holy Week in Cieza, an event designated as being of International Tourist Interest.

Pablo Espinosa Gómez (born in Mula, 2000) began his artistic journey as a self-taught practitioner, focusing on drawing and sculpture. After completing a high school program specializing in the arts and further refining his skills in sculptural techniques at the Murcia School of Art, he became an apprentice in 2020 at the studio of the renowned sculptor José Hernández Navarro, from Los Ramos. His extensive body of work encompasses both religious imagery and secular sculpture, with pieces held in private collections across Spain and abroad.

Among his most notable projects is a sculptural group depicting the "Entrada de Jesús en Jerusalén", created in 2025 for the town of Tobarra. This work, rendered in "academic" scale, features figures of Jesus riding a donkey, Saint Peter the Apostle and a young Hebrew girl. Also for Tobarra, in 2026, he crafted figures of Pontius Pilate and a Roman soldier to complete an Ecce Homo sculptural group. That same year, he also produced a figure of Saint Mary Magdalene for the town of Beniel. Concurrently, he is highly active in the tradition of nativity scene artistry, creating numerous small-scale pieces, most notably the figure groups designed for the celebrated nativity scene of the "Peña La Pava" association in the city of Murcia.

His artistic practice also extends to poster design, a field in which he incorporates various visual techniques and sculptural nuances. In this field, notable works include the poster for the 2025 Grand Jubilee Procession in Murcia, created for the Jubilee of the Confraternities during the Holy Year, and the promotional poster for the 2026 "Noche de los Tambores" in Mula. Currently, the artist continues to explore and refine a personal style while working on various sculptural projects for different confraternities, brotherhoods, and private clients across the country.
