Triduum in honor of "Jesus opening the gates of Hell"

As November approaches, so do the celebrations honoring All Saints and our dearly departed during this month, known as the month of the "Holy Souls".

On this occasion, the Brotherhood of "Ánimas" of Cieza is celebrating a triduum in honor of its titular image: Jesus Opening the Gates of Hell, known as the Sacred Image.

On Friday and Saturday, October 30 and 31, at 7:00 pm, and on Sunday, November 1, at 11:00 am, Holy Masses will be celebrated at the Parish of "San José Obrero", the church in Cieza where the Jesus opening the gates of Hell is married throughout most of the year. These celebrations will be led by the priest Mr. Emmanuel Bezerra.

From these dates through November 21, non-perishable food will be collected. Donations can be placed at the feet of the Christ figure and will later be delivered to those most in need or to local organizations assisting vulnerable families.

On November 1 at 1:00 pm, a candle-offering service will take place at the Cieza cemetery, at the altarpiece of the Image located behind the chapel. Anyone wishing to pay tribute to the saints and the deceased may leave a candle during this ceremony, which will include a prayer and a brief homily, also led by Mr. Emmanuel Bezerra.

The Brotherhood of "Ánimas" invites all the people of Cieza to participate in these events, which are part of our local traditions honoring the loved ones who are no longer with us.
