Incense plays a vital role in the atmosphere of our Holy Week processions. In the case of the "Jesús abriendo las puertas de los infiernos" procession, it is essential, contributing unique sensations, images, perceptions, and aromas to this singular event.
Next Thursday, November 6th, at 8:30 p.m. at the Holy Week Museum in Cieza, representatives from "Inciensos de Sevilla" will give a presentation followed by a demonstration in the Plaza Mayor.
In the first part, we'll learn what incense is, how it's extracted, and different methods for creating blends according to your preferred nuances and aromas. We'll have the opportunity to smell and see exotic incenses from around the world.
Afterward, we'll take an aromatic tour of 20 incenses from this company, putting into practice everything explained theoretically.
We'll also have a practical lesson on how to properly light charcoal, how to choose the best incense burner, and how to burn incense in a specific way.
This unique activity is sure to be very interesting, both because we're fortunate to have the professionals from "Inciensos de Sevilla" here in Cieza and because we'll be able to witness their work, recommendations, suggestions, and guidance firsthand, which will help us use and better understand the world of incense.
