Transfer of the Holy Sepulchre
Good Friday afternoon
The only brotherhood that maintains its popular transfer on the afternoon of Good Friday is that of The Prayer in the Garden and The Holy Sepulchre, which remains faithful to the tradition of bringing its titular float, the popular 'Bed of Christ', from the garage on "Calderón de la Barca" Street, accompanied by pasodoble music: an atypical scene if ever there was one in the context of a Good Friday, but certainly not in the case of Cieza, where it obeys a custom of great roots in the Cieza processionist.

The float is collected in the last light of day at the house-museum of its brotherhood, from where it will depart in the most solemn procession of the night.

Departure time: 6:30 pm ("Calderón de la Barca" Street). Arrival time: approximately 8:00 pm (Dormis Museum).
Route: "Calderón de la Barca", "Gran Vía", "Plaza de las Cortes Españolas", "Paseo", Corner of the Convent, "Mesones", "Angostos", "Tercia", "Santo Cristo", "Cánovas del Castillo" and "Cartas".
Order of procession: Brotherhood of The Prayer in the Garden and The Holy Sepulchre, The Holy Sepulchre and marching band.

Unique features and suggestions: The procession of The Holy Sepulchre presents a truly paradoxical scene, both for its joyful unfolding and the unsurpassed drama of the scene depicted. Few things are more quintessentially Cieza-like, however, than being carried under the watchful gaze of the 'Bed of Christ' on Good Friday afternoon. The magnificent composition by the master Carrillo Marco is the authentic icon of faith for the "Dormis", who feel genuine passion for this sculptural group. Therefore, one should not miss the arrival at the Convent Corner of the purple tide accompanying the float, because there is no member of this brotherhood who does not feel compelled to accompany 'The Bed' from the moment it steps onto the street in this procession, as a prelude to the culminating moment of Holy Week, which for every "dormi" is the participation of the Holy Sepulchre in the Procession of the Holy Burial of Christ.
