DELIVERY OF THE COLLECTION OF THE I NIGHT WALK

Once again, the House Museum of Holy Week receives an act organized by the Board of Passionate Brotherhoods. On this occasion, the act of delivery of the money collected in the I Night Walk was carried out, which, from the Charity Board of the Brotherhoods, was organized on May 17.

The President of the Board of Brotherhoods, D. Joaquín D. Gómez, together with the spokesperson for Caridad, Ms. Josefa Salinas, delivered the collection of donations to the delegate of Manos Unidas de Murcia, Ms. Mª Teresa Romero of the I Night Walk. A total of €1,417.65 was the final amount collected from the participants in the march, as well as from the money from the donations called “zero kilometer”. The President thanked all those who contributed their money for this cause, as well as the charity members of the different brotherhoods, the Manos Unidas de Cieza group, the sponsors, the FAMU, for their help in managing the inscriptions and the figure of Tomás Rubio Carrillo and his volunteer team, who did such a good job in organizing this walk, and had such a good result and acceptance.

The delegate of Manos Unidas de Murcia, Ms. Mª Teresa Romero, addressed a word to those present of thanks and the good mission that was carried out with this marvelous initiative. He explained the project that will be financed with the money raised. It consists of supplying drinking water to three villages in the mountainous region of Northwest Cameroon. He highlighted the difficulty of organizing an event for the first time, but he says that the result has been magnificent and he hopes and encouraged a second edition of the night walk.
