Great international repercussion of Holy Week in Cieza
Different international media have made diffusion of the different activities -mainly virtual- that Holy Week in Cieza has called and celebrated this April.
Regional and national media, but especially those from outside our borders, have highlighted the rich programming organized by the Board of Brotherhoods and by the City Council, with special emphasis on the virtual triple program projected through Social Networks and the regional television on Holy Friday, one of the richest and most intense days of this Festival that opts for the declaration of International Tourist Interest.
National newspapers in the United States and specialized magazines in Colombia, Italy or Mexico, have praised the disagreement and resistance shown by the citizens of the fact that they could not celebrate their Fiesta due to the Pandemic. And it is that Cieza launched a special program on each day of Holy Week through its official communication channels, including the day of the Proclamation (in which a proclamation of the millennium was celebrated with fragments of the last 20 texts of Holy Week), and of course the broadcasts on Holy Friday.
Holy Friday had a special impact in the North American media, which was impacted by the production of a special program recorded at the Capitol Theater, with live music performed by the Banda Averroes OJE Cieza and also with the presence of steps and characters from the processions of the Holy Friday and that was followed by thousands of people from all over the planet.

-Diario de las Américas: The American newspaper published in Miami dedicates one of its central pages to the repercussion that the special programs of Holy Week had. The North American press was impressed not only by the fact that Cieza lived a particular version of his Holy Week in times of COVID, but also by the follow-up obtained on international networks.
