Last Saturday, the Capitol Theater in our town hosted the 4th edition of the Easter music concerts organized by the Juta de Hermandades Pasionarias de Cieza. On this occasion the music was put on by the musical group Nuestro Padre Jesús de la Pasión from Linares, Jaén.
This group was born back in the fall of 1996 within the Cultural Association that bears the same name, when a group of young friends decided to venture into the musical scene of the brotherhood of Linares.
The beginnings were difficult, due to the scarce resources they had. However, that did not stop this group of young people from continuing to fight to magnify Holy Week in their land, always supported by family and friends and moved by love for Jesus and his Holy Mother.
Its motto is: "Enjoy and make others enjoy your music", always directed by the baton of its director, Juan Luis López Hernández.
During all these years, there have been many events for which his presence has been requested. Among them, it is worth noting the participation in some of the Holy Weeks with the greatest impact in Andalusia (Córdoba, Granada, Jaén or Almería, among others) and in countless actions of a brotherhood in emblematic places both regionally and nationally, such as Seville , Jerez de la Frontera, Málaga, Cádiz, Huelva, Toledo, Salamanca, Ciudad Real, Murcia, etc. Even beyond our borders, such as the concert tour that we offered during the summer of 2002 in Austria (Vienna, Oberwart, Salzburg, etc.), at the request of the Spanish Embassy in Austria, for the events on the occasion of the Closing of the Spanish Presidency in the European Union.
The program they performed was as follows:
