Yesterday, in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, the Eucharist corresponding to the XXIV Sunday in Ordinary Time was celebrated, in which the traditional floral offering to our Patroness, the Virgin of Good Success, was carried out. Various associations wanted to join us in this celebration: the Rociero del Segura Group, the Cieza+Vida Association, the Cieza Widows Association and the Assumption Night Adoration group. The Brotherhood of the Patron, San Bartolomé, was accompanying the celebration and made the corresponding offering of flowers, depositing their bouquet at the feet of the Patron Saint. The eighteen Holy Week Brotherhoods of Cieza with their presidents and representatives also participated in said floral offering and, to finish said offering, flowers from the City Council of Cieza and the Board of Passionate Brotherhoods were offered.
Once the Eucharist was over, all those babies and boys and girls who wished for it were passed through the mantle of the Virgin so that She would protect them and intercede for all.
This week there are several activities in honor of our Patron Saint. During every day of this week, the Child will visit all the sick and elderly of the different parishes (if you are interested in receiving the Child, contact your corresponding parish).
A Triduum will be held for the Patron Saint the following days with the following preachers in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption:
- Wednesday 18: Mr. Ángel Mateos Guillén.
- Thursday 19: D Manuel Verdú Moreno.
- Friday 20: Mr. Antonio Miguel Hernández Martínez.

On Saturday 21, at 8:00 p.m., we will celebrate the Eucharist and at the end of it, the Luz de la Vida will go up to the Hermitage of the Virgin in the hill of the Watchtower along the zigzag path. Once it has reached the pass, the traditional popular festival will begin (PLEASE USE THE BUSES THAT WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE FOR THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE FESTIVAL AND THE NEXT DAY, SUNDAY 22).
To culminate the acts in honor of the Virgen del Buen Suceso, on Sunday the 22nd the Eucharist will be celebrated at 7am. At the end of it, the traditional pilgrimage will begin from the town to the Ermita de la Patrona in the Collado de la Atalaya. Upon arrival of the image, around 11 in the morning, a last mass will be held in honor of the Virgin on the esplanade in front of her hermitage. Due to the destruction suffered by the access roads to the Watchtower, possible modifications of these acts to be held there will be reported.
There will be the image of the Virgen del Buen Suceso so that all the ciezano who wants to can visit it, opening its hermitage on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
Later you will be informed of the schedules of the monthly masses that will be celebrated on the first Saturday of each month in the hermitage of the Virgen del Buen Suceso.
