NAZARENE GATHERING; EMBROIDERY AND FABRIC CARE

Following the path started last year with the theme of conserving the heritage of brotherhoods and brotherhoods, the Vocalía de Formación de la Junta de Hermandades scheduled this past Thursday a second gathering to discuss the issue of the conservation of fabrics and embroidery .

The panel was made up of Mr. Higinio Martínez Morote, who acted as its moderator, Mrs. Pilar Rodríguez Salmerón and Mr. José Rubio, the latter embroiderers.

As the beginning of the gathering, Pilar Rodríguez explained how the silk embroidery technique is and how it is worked, leaving the gold and silver embroidery part to Pepe Rubio. After their presentations, the moderator guided the gathering towards the most practical part of it: heritage conservation. The three members of the table were giving their recommendations for the best conservation of the materials and embroidery works that the different brotherhoods have; Then a rich dialogue emerged about the doubts presented by the brothers who were present and how they were looking for solutions to the problems they have by presenting specific cases.

With this gathering, a new opportunity arose for the brotherhoods and sororities to learn to preserve their rich heritage in the best possible conditions and this remains a rich legacy for future generations of members.
