Last Thursday at 9:00 p.m., the Training Committee of the Board of Passionate Brotherhoods organized a discussion on the evolution of Holy Week in Cieza, one of the various activities planned for this Lent.
The event, which attracted nearly 100 people, took place in the Board Room of the Holy Week House-Museum and participated: Antonia Sánchez (vicepresident of the Brotherhood of the "Smo. Cristo del Perdón" and the "Sma. Virgen del Amor Hermoso"), Pascual Santos (secretary of the Brotherhood of the "Oración del Huerto" and the "santo Sepulcro"), Pascuala Ruiz (secretary of the Royal Brotherhood of "María Sma. de la Soledad") and Joaquín Bastida (President of the Brotherhood of "Ánimas"). The discussion was moderated by Mª del Mar Morcillo, the training committee member of the Board.
Throughout the event, various topics were discussed, such as lost and preserved traditions, religiosity during Holy Week, spectator interest, and the challenges facing Holy Week, among others; and a rich discussion was generated among those present.
The Board of Passionate Brotherhoods would like to thank those who generously volunteered to participate, as well as all those who attended, and hopes that the rest of the events this Lent will be as well-attended and crowded as last Thursday's.
