Solidarity Candles begin Lent 2022

In this year 2022, the "Junta de Hermandades Pasionarias" of Cieza recognizes the Association of Families for Diversity (ADIFAM).

The ADIFAM Family Association fights to achieve the real inclusion of all people in our society, regardless of their individual characteristics and needs. For this reason, they intend to maximize their capacities and abilities, in order to achieve a better quality of life for both the person and their family.

Solidarity Candles is an initiative that every year, on Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Lenten period, through an Offering of all the Brotherhoods of our Holy Week, is intended to bring these groups that collaborate in our town closer together.

The Solemn Religious Function of the Rite of the Imposition of Ashes, officiated by the Rev. Parish priest and Counselor of the "Junta de Hermandades Pasionarias", D. José Antonio García López, will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption. Next, this recognition will be carried out by the eighteen Brotherhoods that make up the "Junta de Hermandades Pasionarias" of Cieza.
