Hello
The days of this Holy Week are passing in a way that is so strange to us, confined to our homes, when our thing is to take to the streets and not let an hour go by without soaking our souls in brotherhood, in procession, in fraternal brotherhood. , of blind passion.
And now we come to Good Friday, our big day par excellence, and for the second year the streets will be silent, and the desires of all of us kept in the chest of a wait that is already endless. I wish that what kept us at home today was the rain for our fields, and not this epidemic that has crossed our nation sowing pain and anguish in so many families. We have a Good Friday of prayer, a Good Friday to share with our own, to remember with admiration those who are out there waging this battle, and to pray for all our brothers, confreres or not, who are suffering these days.
That Good Friday arrives and that we cannot live it as we like and enriches us, all together, around our Pasos, with the tunic on or looking forward to the arrival of the procession, saddens us, it is inevitable. But we must transform that sorrow into Hope, because the entire life of a ciezano brotherhood has the horizon of an Easter of Resurrection overflowing with joyful Courtesy.
I have been able to see, with emotion, how you have wanted to share these days by sending your videos and taking our music to the balcony, so that the Nazarene heartbeat of this town could be heard in all corners; reminding us that we are there, that we are many, that we miss each other, that we are looking forward to getting back to our business and uniting in a fraternal hug. I know that you have, that we all have, an enormous desire for Easter, and it is moving to read and listen to so many emotional testimonials, in which you express what fills your heart these days. But may despair not reach you: rest assured that the sun of our Holy Week will rise again, and its light will fill us with joy, perhaps with more intensity than ever.
Now is the time to be at home, to care for and take care of ourselves, and to responsibly comply with the instructions of the health authorities. But soon we will be on our way again, doing what we know best, what the brothers of this town have always done: working with enthusiasm, with humility, with courage, with our hands always outstretched, with a spirit of sacrifice, seeking among all to even bigger our Cieza and our Holy Week.
There will be a lot to do, we will all work together to find that Holy Week 2021 that will be unforgettable. Entrusted to the protection of our Mother, the Blessed Virgin of Good Success, I send you a hug and my wish that you have courage and health, in the certainty that we will never forget that WE ARE FAITH and WE ARE HOPE.
To Cieza, for his Holy Week.
