This past Friday,
April 19, at 8:00 p.m., the Brotherhood of the "Santísimo Cristo del Consuelo" inaugurated an exhibition dedicated to the barrels of the venerated Image at
the Siyasa Museum. Symbols of gratitude and devotion to the "mysterious
magnet".
The event was
chaired by the mayor of Cieza and members of the Municipal Corporation; the
most excellent and most reverend Mr. José Manuel Lorca, bishop of the Diocese
of Cartagena; the national deputy, Mr. Joaquín Martínez; the president of the
Board of Passionate Brotherhoods; the president of the Brotherhood of the "Santísimo Cristo del Consuelo" and members of its board of directors; the
president of "Manos Unidas" Murcia; and the author of the poster, Ms. María
Ángeles Sáez.
This exhibition, which will be open to the public until May 5, shows thirty-nine of the forty barrels that the Brotherhood has in its trousseau. A guaranteed visit to continue investigating the faith and eternal love that the ciezanos have for the glory of Cieza.
