DESCRIPTION
On the eve of Palm Sunday, at 9:30 p.m., the Processional Transfer of the Stmo takes place. Christ of Forgiveness, the most revered Image of the San Joaquín neighborhood, in a solemn parade organized by its Brotherhood and which leads it from the Convent of San Joaquín and Santa Ana to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, from where it will participate in the Wednesday and Good Friday Processions. The throne that he uses has the Crucified inclined, which allows him to exit through the door of the Convent.
PECULIARITIES, INTEREST OF THE SHOW AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The mere presence of the sovereign effigy of Benedict, an indisputable masterpiece of s Christian imagery. XX, justifies going to meet him at the exit of the Convent of San Joaquín and San Pascual, where the public crowds waiting for the venerated Image. In addition, its peculiar arrangement, leaning on its throne, makes it possible to appreciate many artistic details of the work that go unnoticed in its usual presentation. But the most interesting moment of the parade occurs at the entrance to the Stmo. Christ of Forgiveness in the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption (B.I.C.). In an atmosphere of absolute recollection, the Christ crosses the Plaza Mayor while the image of the Virgin of the Encounter Pass comes out to greet him at the threshold of the Basilica, accompanied by a live interpretation of the imposing piece "After a Look of Yours", composed for this specific moment by the prestigious Valencian composer Teo Aparicio Barberán, who musically recounts this exciting encounter between Mother and Son.
