Yesterday, at 7:00 p.m., the seats at the Capitol Theater packed
to receive the Music Unit of the "King's Immemorial" Infantry Regiment No. 1,
which performed a concert that will remain in the collective memory of the
brotherhood.
The music of Cieza's Holy Week were very present in both parts of the
concert. In the first, led by ciezano Mr. Manuel Victorio Molina, marches by
Víctor M. Ferrer such as "1914", dedicated to our Holy Week, or "Mi Amargura",
were included. And of course, "Penitente Ciezano", the work of master Joaquín
Yelo.
In the second part, the marches of the 20th century have had great importance, with works such as "Mektub" and "Jesús Preso", hymns of the national Holy Week. Although for the majority of attendees, the outstanding note was with "El Cristo del Perdón", a national reference by Gómez Villa and the processional music of Cieza. This part has been directed by the director of the Music Unit, Mr. Fernando Lizana; where their marches have also had a place.
"Semana Santa Ciezana", as always, has been the finishing touch to the closing of a concert in the history of our city.
